Terms of Service

These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with Home Edit Trading Ltd. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by the terms set out below.

1. About Us
Home Edit Trading Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. We supply products to trade customers in accordance with these Terms.


2. Orders & Contract Formation

  • All orders are subject to acceptance by Home Edit Trading Ltd
  • A contract is formed once we issue an order confirmation
  • These Terms apply to all orders and override any terms provided by the customer
  • Each order is treated as a separate contract

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all order details are accurate before submission.


3. Products

  • All products are subject to availability
  • We reserve the right to make minor changes or improvements to products without affecting quality
  • Due to the nature of materials and manufacturing, slight variations in colour, finish, or design may occur

All product descriptions, images, and marketing materials are provided for guidance only.


4. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are as stated at the time of order or in our current price list
  • Prices are exclusive of VAT and delivery charges unless stated otherwise
  • Payment must be made in full before dispatch unless agreed otherwise

We reserve the right to:

  • Charge interest on overdue payments
  • Suspend or cancel orders where payment has not been received

5. Delivery

  • Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed
  • We will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed timelines
  • Delivery is made to the address provided by the customer

Important delivery conditions:

  • Delivery is typically to ground floor access only
  • Customers must ensure safe and suitable access
  • Customers are responsible for being available to accept delivery

We may:

  • Deliver orders in instalments
  • Delay or cancel orders due to stock availability or non-payment

6. Risk & Ownership

  • Risk passes to the customer upon delivery
  • Ownership of goods remains with Home Edit Trading Ltd until full payment has been received

Until ownership transfers, customers must:

  • Store goods safely and separately
  • Keep products in good condition
  • Not alter or damage identifying marks

We reserve the right to recover goods if payment is not made.


7. Inspection & Acceptance
Customers must:

  • Inspect goods upon delivery
  • Note any visible damage when signing
  • Report any issues within:
    • 48 hours for damage
    • 5 working days for discrepancies

Failure to do so may result in goods being deemed accepted.


8. Warranty
We warrant that:

  • Products are free from material defects at the time of delivery
  • Products will meet reasonable quality standards

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Misuse, improper handling, or storage
  • Unauthorised modifications or repairs

If a valid claim is made, we may:

  • Repair
  • Replace
  • Refund

9. Returns & Damages

  • All returns must be authorised in advance
  • Claims must include supporting images and details
  • Goods must be securely packaged for return

We reserve the right to:

  • Reject unauthorised returns
  • Charge costs for invalid claims

10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit or business
  • Our total liability is limited to the value of the order or £10,000 (whichever is higher)

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

11. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in our products, designs, images, and materials remain the property of Home Edit Trading Ltd.

Customers may not reproduce or use these materials without permission.


12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including:

  • Natural disasters
  • Supply chain disruption
  • Strikes or industrial action
  • Transport or courier delays

If such events continue, we reserve the right to cancel affected orders.


13. Termination
We may cancel or suspend orders if:

  • Payment is overdue
  • The customer breaches these Terms
  • The customer becomes insolvent

All outstanding payments will become immediately due upon termination.


14. General

  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between both parties
  • Any changes must be agreed in writing
  • If any part of these Terms is invalid, the remainder remains enforceable
  • These Terms do not create a partnership or agency relationship

15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
